Two wonderful gardens lie within easy reach of Rouen, each created from nothing. Head over to Le Jardin d'Agapanthe, where twisting footpaths take the visitor through a series of contrasting gardens. After lunch visit the Le Clos du Coudray, which contains a connoisseur's collection of thousands of plant species artfully landscaped in 25 themed gardens.
