ISLE OF MAN - Douglas

Ancient legend tells of a fierce battle between giants from Ireland and Scotland. During the skirmish a large clod of earth was hurled into the sea and came to form the Isle of Man. A magician later ruled here but became enraged with a rival and smote his anger upon the isle tearing rocks from the shore to form its intricate coastline. Just 25 miles long by 15 miles wide, the island’s modest size makes it easy to navigate and there’s magic everywhere. Take a journey to the Snaefell Mountain Railway, climbing up the highest peak, to view the seven kingdoms: Man, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the sea and heaven! Whilst on the Isle of Man, try to spot a Manx cat. Myth has it that the island cat lost it’s tail when leaping aboard Noah’s Ark as the doors slammed shut. Folklore or ‘Furry’ tale? - you decide.
