Jay & Kay Coach Tours are proud to announce that driver, Philip Thomas, known to his friends and customers as Phil, has won "CDC COACH DRIVER OF THE YEAR 2010". Phil was the first driver to be employed by Jay & Kay in 2006. Karl, the owner, who had driven all the tours and had built up a great rapport with the customers (known as Friends) realised the need for a tour driver of immense quality. After a lot of research, Karl decided that Phil was the perfect choice. After a lot of persuasion, Phil decided to join our up and coming company.

What a great choice, Phil soon became a firm favourite with our customers, with many now requesting Phil as the driver. Phil is a true ambassador for Jay & Kay and the coach industry. He is very professional, caring and considerate, informative as well as having the abillity to make people laugh with his great sense of humour. Phil entered the Coach Tourism Council Awards with fantastic testimonials from our customers and from people within the tourism industry. At the awards ceremony, which took place at the superb Holiday Inn, Stratford Upon Avon, it was commented on by the organiser of the awards that this was a very difficult catagory for the judges to judge on, except that one man stood out, and that was our Phil, who was announced the winner. Karl commented "Phil's commitment to his job and customers was exceptional and fully deserved the accolade". One particular quote from Phil that impressed the judges summed up how Phil approaches his work, "I feel priviledged to be doing a job I love".
